Don Byrne — Founder & Producer

Don Byrne is a filmmaker, producer and founder of The Post House in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. For more than 25 years, he has helped businesses, organizations and individuals tell their stories through video.

Through Post House Living Legacies, Don has turned that experience toward a different kind of storytelling: helping families capture the voices, memories, photographs and personal histories that too often disappear before anyone thinks to preserve them.

​

His approach is less about conducting a formal interview and more about creating a conversation—asking thoughtful questions, listening for the stories behind the answers, and helping people become comfortable enough to simply be themselves.

Don also developed The Living Legacy Experience, an educational program designed to teach families how to begin preserving these stories themselves.

After years of interviewing people professionally, Don became increasingly aware that some of the stories families value most are also the ones they're most likely to assume they'll always have time to record.
